If a friend scores a game for me, does it get posted to my BoardGameGeek account?

Yes, as long as your seat in their game is linked to your ScoreGeek account. A guest seat that just has your name on it doesn't count.

Your own device does the posting, not your friend’s. Your BoardGameGeek sign-in is kept only on your device (ScoreGeek’s servers never store it), so nobody else’s phone can post as you. Once their game finishes, it’s credited to you. The next time you open ScoreGeek, your device posts it with your other plays.

All the usual rules apply:

  • You need Premium and automatic posting switched on.
  • The game has to be on BoardGameGeek.
  • Your device picks up games from the last 30 days, so open ScoreGeek within 30 days of the game.
  • If you don’t use automatic posting, you can post the play yourself from that game’s results.
